I know a 6 year old that watches and LOVES horror movies. Her mother is a big fan of them so she has been watching them her whole life. The only real effect is that thirty years later I'm an adult who loves horror movies and doesn't get scared by them. I think it's because I developed a very strong division between fiction and reality at a young age.
