Firearms may exacerbate the systemic violence but they arent the root cause of it as shown by other countries with similar per capita ownership but little to no violence. So now what, do we need to do a background check on people before we fire them and see if they have guns? If they do lead them to mental health facilities, therapy, coping mechanism.Or maybe teach people getting fired isn't the end of the world before hiring them, and making sure they realize this? The biggest issue isn't guns, it's that more people nowadays dehumanize people they don't like and justify physical violence.
